Sales Engineer for Precision Manufacturing Technology. This field-based role covers the M4 Corridor & South West (Swansea, Cardiff, Newport, Bristol, Bath, Swindon, Southampton, Poole, Bournemouth, Exeter, Bridgwater, Plymouth, and related areas). The role is within a global engineering business delivering precision manufacturing technology and machine tooling solutions across multiple industries including medical, aerospace, automotive, and more.
- Salary: £55,000 with Bonus/OTE up to £65,000
- Executive Company Car
- Field Based Role with regional travel
- Current regional footprint: 850k region with aspirations to exceed £1M in coming years
- Industry: Machine tools, sheet metal, CNC machinery, manufacturing engineering consumables, 3rd party manufacturing, metal/materials sales, etc.
We are looking for a Sales Engineer to own and grow a key regional territory, acting as the trusted technical advisor to both new and existing customers.
What Youll Be Doing- Act as the go-to expert for customers, translating complex technologies into tangible business value
- Manage your territory and pipeline through our advanced CRM and sales enablement tools
- Deliver compelling product demos and participate in high-impact trade shows and roundtable events
- Collaborate with marketing on outreach and campaign activities
- Identify and develop new leads, clients and projects through targeted prospecting
- Negotiate commercial terms with confidence while demonstrating deep product insight
- Stay on the cutting edge by engaging in continuous training and technical development
- A technical qualification (degree in mechanical, process, chemical or related engineering field) or experience in a similar industry
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills; confident speaking with engineers and procurement alike
- Commercially curious; enjoy consultative sales and solving real-world problems
- Driven and self-managing; thrive in a field-based role where you control your own results
- Comfortable using CRM systems and collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, product and support teams
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within your assigned territory
