At Rotork, we are embarking on a truly exciting chapter and looking for a Design Manager to help lead it. This role offers a rare opportunity to act as the Design Authority for our first Nuclear Actuator in 30 years, a flagship programme that will play a key role in re-establishing our nuclear capability and strengthening our position in a highly specialised market.

As Design Manager, you'll take ownership of the full product development lifecycle, leading the design of high-integrity electro‑mechanical solutions from concept through to production. You'll work at the cutting edge of engineering ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

Responsibilities
  • Leading and developing a multi‑disciplinary engineering team to deliver against quality, cost, and schedule targets
  • Owning the end‑to‑end design process, ensuring robust decision‑making and adherence to critical standards
  • Translating customer and business requirements into innovative, practical design solutions
  • Ensuring products meet internal approval processes and external regulatory requirements
  • Working closely with cross‑functional teams to enable smooth transition into manufacture
  • Maintaining clear, proactive communication with stakeholders throughout
Qualifications
  • Degree in Engineering discipline, Product Design or similar
  • Proven experience in design leadership within a product development environment
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision‑making skills
  • Ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and manage complex projects
  • Passion for innovation and delivering exceptional customer value
