Overview
Bath Clinic, part of Circle Health Group, provides complex surgery across a nationwide network of hospitals and clinics. We are seeking a Lead Engineer to join the Engineering department. This full‑time role is 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern and a salary up to £45,000 per year (dependent on experience).
Duties- Ensure the safe and effective completion of all Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and Reactive Maintenance tasks in line with Circle Health Group SOPs.
- Manage the engineering response to building and equipment faults, ensuring timely and safe resolution with minimal disruption to hospital services.
- Provide day‑to‑day leadership and line management of engineering operatives within the hospital.
- Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and maintain training and competency standards.
- Monitor and report on Reactive and Maintenance (R&M) budgets, identifying variances and contributing to cost control measures.
- Manage site engineering resources effectively, including supporting other sites in the cluster during periods of holiday, sickness or vacancy.
- City & Guilds Part 3, HNC or NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- CSCS card or ECS card (if electrically qualified) at the appropriate level.
- Proven experience in engineering maintenance, ideally within a hospital or similar critical services environment.
- Experience in team leadership, task allocation and performance management.
- Comprehensive understanding of health and safety legislation, including risk management, fire safety and Legionella prevention.
- Strong fault‑finding, organisational and communication skills.
