This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer with around 3 years’ consultancy experience to join a well-established practice known for delivering technically challenging and architecturally inspiring projects across the UK.
The consultancy works across an exceptionally broad project portfolio, ranging from contemporary new-build developments to complex refurbishment and conservation schemes on historic and listed buildings.
The Role
You will take responsibility for structural engineering design from concept stage through to construction and completion on site, working closely with senior engineers, architects, and clients across a wide variety of projects.
The business encourages engineers to develop broad technical exposure across both modern and historic structures, with opportunities to specialise further as your career progresses.
Responsibilities will include:
Structural analysis and design using a range of materials including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
Producing calculations, reports, specifications, and technical details
Attending client meetings, surveys, and site inspections
Coordinating with architects and multidisciplinary design teams
Delivering projects from concept design through to completion on site
Managing your own workload with increasing responsibility and autonomy

Requirements include:
Around 3 years’ experience within a UK structural engineering consultancy
Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
Broad design experience across building structures projects
Good understanding of current UK design standards and codes
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
Desire to continue progressing toward chartership
