Site Agent

The Site Agent will oversee daily operations for a civil engineering contractor in Bath, managing highways and infrastructure schemes across Somerset. This full-time contract position offers a negotiable PAYE umbrella day rate between £300 and £350, depending on experience, with an immediate start for an initial three-month term. Duties include coordinating earthworks, drainage, structures, and road construction, ensuring delivery meets specifications and safety standards.

We're working with a leading civil engineering contractor to recruit a Site Engineer to support the delivery of highways and infrastructure projects across Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy project team delivering a varied programme of civil engineering works, including earthworks, drainage, structures and highways.

As Site Engineer, you ll be responsible for managing day-to-day engineering activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with project specifications. Working closely with the Project Manager and site teams, you ll provide engineering support throughout the construction phase whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, health & safety and environmental compliance.

• Managing all site engineering activities.
• Engineering control and setting out.
• Supervising site activities and providing technical support to the workforce.
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with drawings and specifications.
• Maintaining quality assurance procedures and inspection records.
• Supporting the permit process, including CAT scanning and issuing permits.
• Producing accurate site records, site diaries and as-built information.
• Promoting the highest Health, Safety & Environmental standards across the project.

• Previous experience as a Site Engineer within civil engineering.
• Experience delivering highways and infrastructure projects.
• Strong setting out and engineering control experience.
• Knowledge of earthworks, drainage and structures.
• AutoCAD experience.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• CSCS Card.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
