Brewer Morris are currently partnering with a highly regarded law firm in the Southwest to appoint a Financial Accountant into their established finance team.
This is a key hire within the function, offering a broad remit across financial control and commercial finance, with direct exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to positively influence the ongoing evolution of the finance function.

The RoleReporting into the Financial Controller, this position sits close to the senior leadership team and plays a critical role across the finance function.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ownership of financial and statutory reporting processes
- Leading year-end accounts preparation and audit delivery
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning cycles
- Delivering meaningful analysis and insight to support business decision-making
- Business partnering with senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives and finance projects
This is a highly visible position, combining technical delivery with increasing commercial involvement.
Candidate ProfileWe are seeking a technically strong and commercially minded finance professional with the ability to operate at a senior level within a collaborative environment.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or equivalent experience
- Strong grounding in financial / statutory accounting
- Exposure to management accounting or FP&A preferred
- Confident stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Proactive approach with an interest in process improvement and adding value
Our client is open to candidates from both industry and practice backgrounds, and prior sector experience is not essential.
Salary & Benefits- Base salary
:
Up to £65,000 - Annual profit share and discretionary bonus
- Hybrid working (typically 2 days in office, with flexibility)
- 31 days annual leave + bank holidays + additional “life leave”
