They offer a collaborative working environment and are looking for a Senior Finance Assistant to support their busy Finance team.
What will you be doing
Process sales invoices, sales orders, credit notes and refunds accurately across the organisation's finance systems, check correct VAT treatment and coding.
Reconcile customer accounts, online income, bank accounts and sales ledger balances, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Maintain accurate customer records, monitor sales order workflows, and support users with finance system queries and invoice processing.
Train and support colleagues on finance systems and processes while delivering excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Check compliance with financial regulations, including PCI DSS and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements, identifying and escalating any unusual or suspicious transactions.
About You
Previous experience in a Senior Finance Assistant, Finance Assistant, Sales Ledger or Accounts Receivable role.
Strong understanding of sales ledger processes, reconciliations, VAT and financial controls.
Experience using finance systems such as Agresso (Unit4), SAM, Oracle, SAP or similar ERP systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to support and train colleagues.
Highly organised with strong attention to detail and confident using Microsoft Excel to manage financial data.
Skills and qualifications: GCSEs (Grade A-C / 4-9) or equivalent, including English and Maths.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and finance systems such as Agresso, SAM or similar ERP systems.
Previous experience training or supporting colleagues on finance systems and processes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
Excellent organisational skills with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
