Assistant Management Accountant

Assistant Management Accountant job in BathYour new roleReporting to the Head of Finance, the Assistant Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the production of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. This position offers excellent exposure across the finance function and would suit a candidate studying towards ACCA, CIMA or AAT. Duties will include:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Produce and post accruals, prepayments and journal entries
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
• Support month-end and year-end close processes
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Prepare financial reports and analysis for operational stakeholders
• Monitor costs and provide insight into business performance
• Support cash flow forecasting and reporting
• Assist with fixed asset accounting and reconciliations
• Prepare VAT returns and support compliance activities
• Work closely with departmental managers to provide financial information
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls
• Support the wider finance team with ad hoc projects and reporting requirements
