Position: Performance Manager

Join a national team dedicated to transforming community health and care services as a Performance Manager. Reporting to the Regional/Managing Director, you'll lead the performance agenda, ensuring contractual obligations and KPIs are met with excellence. Your insights and operational support will be essential to delivering continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes across the region.

The role of Performance Manager is a temporary role for FY26, providing support to the performance team in the BSW business unit and helping drive the execution of the in‑year strategy. The postholder will need to develop a good understanding of the company's overall direction, strategy and current operations. This role is responsible for supporting the Interim Head of Performance in BSW with updates and data assurance to give a view on operational success and any emerging concerns.

This new role requires working closely with colleagues in the BSW business unit and corporate functions in order to be effective.

Responsibilities / Key duties
  • Analytics/Clinical Systems support by aligning data with performance and supporting the Senior Performance Manager in identifying issues and risks.
  • Operations colleagues support by providing data where necessary to manage operational pressures and feedback on performance and track themes/issue.
  • Provide data assurance and updates to the Interim Head of Performance in BSW.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in corporate functions to support performance initiatives.
  • Drive performance agenda and ensure contractual obligations and KPIs are met.
  • Provide operational support to deliver continuous improvement and high‑quality outcomes across the region.
  • Drive and access to a vehicle for work‑related travel.
  • Manage own workload and access to eLearning, bespoke career pathways and opportunities for continuing professional development through the "Outstanding" learning and development team.
  • Engage stakeholders and promote a just culture encouraging ideas to deliver purpose.
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent experience in health, or in an analytics or operational delivery role.
  • Experience of utilising and capturing data to evidence the delivery of performance targets and plans.
  • Experience of producing reports.
  • Strong communication and inter‑personal skills with emotional intelligence to engage multiple stakeholders at different levels.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Ability to influence key stakeholders, understand alternative perspectives and competing demands on others.
  • Ability to challenge confidently and constructively.
  • An understanding of national health policy, including clinical governance, clinical quality, patient safety and quality improvement.
Desirable
  • Experience in the health care sector.
  • Experience of producing data in a healthcare setting, either in the NHS or for a private provider.
  • Good knowledge of health regulatory frameworks and the role of regulators (CQC, Monitor etc.) and associated health policy.
