We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist to support children and young people with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, speech and language delay, SEMH, and complex needs. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping pupils develop communication, interaction, and independence skills.

• Assess pupils' speech, language, and communication needs.
• Plan and deliver individual and group therapy programmes.
• Support pupils who use AAC (PECS, Makaton, communication devices).
• Work closely with teachers, TAs, and SEN staff to embed communication strategies into daily learning.
• Contribute to EHCP outcomes, reports, and annual reviews.
• Provide training and guidance to school staff and parents/carers.
• Monitor progress and adapt interventions accordingly.
• Liaise with external professionals and agencies where required.

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalant.
• HCPC registration (or eligibility).
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• A patient, flexible, and child-centred approach.

• Experience in a SEN school or specialist provision.
• Knowledge of ASD, SEMH, or complex needs.
• Ability to deliver staff training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
