Job Overview

We are looking for a registered professional—adult or paediatric nurse, allied health professional, or midwife—desiring to work as a member of our Resuscitation and Clinical Simulation Services Team. You must have current experience working in an acute hospital setting and have evidence of recent clinical experience with acutely unwell or deteriorating patients on a frequent and regular basis.

You will be interested in developing specialist knowledge across resuscitation, simulation‑based education, and human factors. The role requires you to be a Resuscitation Council UK Adult Immediate Life Support, and/or Paediatric Immediate Life Support course instructor, or nominated as instructor candidate and working towards instructor status. You will then proceed to develop as an Advanced Life Support (ALS) provider. An 18‑month training period to achieve advanced course provider status is required.

The successful applicant will join us in making a positive impact on patient care and supporting our multi‑disciplinary colleagues through delivering and developing resuscitation operational services, simulation and resuscitation training to meet national and local standards. You will also be involved in patient safety improvements and initiatives and clinical audit programmes across the different Trust sites. You must be an enthusiastic teacher and prepared to work in a small dynamic team.
