Associate Director – Test Lead (12‑month contract)

A Bath based building society are undergoing a major transformation programme and as such need a Test Lead to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract. It’s a great opportunity for someone to come onboard and really shape the direction of their test strategy.

• SIT, UAT, Regression and Penetration testing.
• Providing readiness assessments and go‑live assurance.
• Leading test planning sessions and creating high‑quality test cases, scripts and traceability matrixes.
• Defining test scope, entry/exit criteria and environment needs.
• Championing improvements in testing processes, tools and quality standards across the programme.

• Previous experience within financial services (ideally a smaller banking or mortgage firm) would be ideal.
• Prior experience as a Test Lead or Test Manager on large‑scale system implementations or transformation programmes.
• A strong background in SIT, UAT, Regression and Penetration testing.
• A strong understanding of structured testing approaches, defect management and test reporting.
• Experience with a breadth of test management tools (JIRA, Test Rail, Azure Dev Ops etc.).
• Proven record of strong stakeholder management, organisation and time‑management.
