The University of Bath has an exciting opportunity for an experienced digital professional to act as the University’s project lead for the first phase of our strategic website project: the audit, assessment and discovery phase.
About the roleWorking closely with the University’s appointed agency partner, internal project team, project manager and sponsor, you will play a leading role in the institutional review process, helping to assess the current web ecosystem and shape evidence-based recommendations for the future. The outcome of the review is not predetermined, and the role will be central in supporting the University to evaluate future opportunities and direction.
Acting as the key strategic interface between the University, external partners and internal specialists, you will help shape the direction of the review and ensure that emerging recommendations are evidence based and aligned to organisational priorities, user needs and operational realities. You will support effective collaboration across stakeholders and ensure that outputs are credible, practical and aligned to the University’s context and ambitions.
Aboutyou
- Proven experience of leading complex digital discovery or review projects within large, complex organisations.
- Strong appreciation and understanding of digital experience principles, including user needs, experience and interface design, content and digital platforms. You will be able to engage credibly in discussions about web technologies, CMS platforms and digital design approaches without needing to be a technical specialist.
- Proven experience of working with emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, and their implications for digital experience and organisational capability.
- Strong ability to operate in ambiguity, synthesise complex and sometimes conflicting information, and shape clear, evidence-based recommendations.
- Demonstrable experience working with senior stakeholders and external partners, with exceptional communication and facilitation skills and the ability to shape thinking, influence outcomes and build consensus across diverse perspectives within a complex organisation.
This role is offered on a full-time basis (36.5 hours per week) for a fixed-term period of 5 months.
£58,225 to £67,468. Grade 9 / pro rata
