Part time - 18.75 hours per week
You will, under the direction of the EPR Technical Lead, be expected to provide comprehensive Network infrastructure support services to the EPR Programme. You will be responsible for the design and integration of the EPR system in accordance with best practice, ensure documentation is produced and staff trained to support the ICT Business Continuity requirements. You will be expected to ensure that a proactive approach to infrastructure support and design is adopted and that standard ways of working that relate to Firewall, Switch, Router builds, commissioning and recovery testing are achieved, to include software defined networking.
You will consider the Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Trust IT Security products and assigned IT Services and how these will integrate with the EPR and associated solutions. You will work closely with EPR Technical Leads supporting the various work streams being undertaken and be expected to provide advice and guidance to ensure the correct infrastructure design is selected and that the Trust achieves best use and value from the Infrastructure used.
You will work closely with the IT Infrastructure Manager to ensure safe and efficient support processes are used.
Whilst the post will be based at Salisbury District Hospital you may be required to work across all 3 Trusts within the BSW group.

Job Description And Main Responsibilities
- Design, Manage and Support the Trust EPR data networks facilities in line with Best Practice
- Design, Manage and Support the Trust EPR voice communication networks in line with Best Practice
- Design and Standardise the EPR Network build process in line with Trust build process and Best Practice
- Assist the IT Infrastructure Manager to ensure ICT Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery is addressed in line with Best Practice
Essential criteria:
Recognised industry standard IT qualification or appropriate ONC/HNC/MCE or equivalent relevant product related training, CCNA.
- MCSE or equivalent
- Training on Cisco or Mitel product range
- Demonstrable and detailed networking experience in a complex data/voice environment supporting LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi environments.
- Understanding of Switched Layer 3 Networks
- Understanding of TCP/IP Protocol Suite
- Understanding of IP subnetting / DHCP/WINS/DNS/VLANS/ Routing protocols
- Knowledge of configuration and management of telephone switch, preferably at multi-switch level
- Knowledge of voicemail system(s)
- Experience of large, complex data or voice networks
- Knowledge of Routing Protocols
- Understanding of Fibre Cabling (MM & SM Fibre)
