Position

Junior ICT Consultant – Bath, Somerset

Salary: £21,000 - £26,500 (Negotiable)

Job Summary

Provide technical support and maintenance for a school in Bath. Responsible for IT hardware, software, network, and user support across school sites. Improve ICT provisions to support effective teaching and learning.

Responsibilities
  • Resolve and manage technical issues impacting school operations.
  • Install, repair, and maintain computer hardware with standardised applications, network software, and other devices.
  • Respond to network and desktop service duties related to existing installations and upgrades (desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, PA equipment, AV lecterns, and hardware).
  • Facilitate communication between the school and Turn IT on, managing customer accounts and keeping them updated on services.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training for end users, including use of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Work independently, identify improvement opportunities, and propose solutions.
  • Collaborate with the team, maintain good communication and organisational skills.
Qualifications and Experience
  • At least 2 years of experience as an ICT Technician or 2nd line support, preferably in education.
  • Strong technical background with self‑motivation and excellent customer service orientation.
  • Ability to explain technical issues in layman’s terms to customers.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving and improving services.
Other Requirements

The role is full‑time, full‑year and includes enhanced DBS and safeguarding checks.
