Senior Associate - Family

Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 (depending on experience)

A successful full service law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join and help grow its highly regarded Family team in Bath. The team is recognised in Chambers and Legal 500 and has a strong presence across the Southwest, with active involvement in Resolution at both regional and national levels.

You'll be responsible for managing a varied and high quality caseload of privately funded family matters, including:

• Financial remedy work
• Private children matters
• Advising unmarried couples
• Running your own busy caseload with support from the wider team
• Supervising and developing junior lawyers
• Picking up existing casefiles and helping build the Bath family offering
• Planning and delivering targeted business development activities

You will work closely with a Partner in the team, with clear opportunities for progression and a genuine pathway to Partnership in the short term future. You will also collaborate with fee earners across other offices.

This role is suited to an experienced Family lawyer with:

• Demonstrable expertise in financial remedy and private children law
• Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
• Confidence developing and growing your own practice
• Strong track record of business development within your specialism
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
• A collaborative, team focused approach
• Law degree or equivalent qualification
