Cleaner Porter (20 Hours)

We are seeking a reliable and proactive part-time Cleaner Porter to join our friendly Campus Services team within Cleaning and Portering. This role offers a varied workload, and a typical day may include:

• Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness within designated areas
• Emptying general waste and recycling bins
• Assisting with the movement of furniture, equipment, and deliveries
• Supporting room setups for events, meetings, and teaching activities
• Responding to reactive requests from building users and facilities teams
• Ensuring the safe handling and storage of materials and supplies
• Providing a visible, helpful, and approachable presence for students, staff, and visitors

Please note, this role involves regular lifting and carrying.

The typical working hours for this position are 5:00am – 9:00am, Monday to Friday, with weekend working on alternate weeks.

This is a key role at the University of Bath, and we are seeking a professional who is reliable, motivated, and approachable. You’ll maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment, while working independently or collaboratively with a supportive team. Attention to detail and a thorough approach to tasks are essential.

This role is offered on a part time basis, working 20 hours per week.

In addition to the great benefits Campus Services offers, we can offer you a £1,000 bonus. This is payable the month after successfully passing your six months’ probation. Please note this bonus is pro rata for part time roles.
