The Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit a Multi‑Skilled Technician, biased towards Mechanical, to be an essential part of our Operational team. Our Estates department is fast‑paced and exciting, with new challenges and opportunities arising every day. You will work closely with the Estates Officer (Operations) to plan and carry out engineering/building maintenance programmes and to help achieve compliance with legislative and performance standards.

• Carry out inspections, tests, repairs, and installations on Trust property and infrastructure.
• Work on allocated work dockets, completing tasks and updating the Trust CAFM system in a timely manner.
• Organise and coordinate own workload, and manage assigned craftsperson’s workload.
• Report faults identified during routine checks or planned preventative maintenance.
• Undertake planned preventative maintenance checks and complete report sheets in accordance with trust procedures and policies.
• Identify parts and equipment needed and use Estates Stores system to obtain required items in accordance with Trust Standing Financial Instructions.
• Investigate technical failures and identify appropriate permanent repair required to ensure reliability and statutory compliance.
• Participate in the Estates escalation process, assist other estate staff at all levels with technical works and problem solving.
• Carry out internal audits of Estates team work and practice.
• Assist with the setup and implementation/management of the Estates safe systems of work (e.g., Permit to Work, isolation procedures) for Trust staff and external contractors.
• Manage and supervise specialist subcontractors as directed by Senior Estates Officer (Electrical).
