We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our expanding, family-run independent garage in Bath. With over 30 years of experience and a 5-week waiting list, we offer a £35,000–£40,000 basic salary (within our £35k–£45k package depending on experience), a profit-based bonus scheme, permanent Monday-to-Friday hours (strictly no weekends), and the chance to work on high-end performance vehicles.

Your Role

As a Vehicle Technician / Car Mechanic in our Bath team, you will:

  • Carry out routine servicing
    , maintenance, and general mechanical repairs on premium and performance vehicles.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and systematic fault-finding using modern, high-spec diagnostic systems.
  • Maintain exceptional standards of accuracy and safety that support our strong 5-week customer waiting list.
  • Collaborate closely with an expert team in a well-equipped, busy workshop environment.
What You Need
  • Qualifications &

    Experience:

    NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance with a proven track record as a Technician or Mechanic. Mercedes diagnostic platform experience is a strong plus. F-Gas certification is preferred (or an interest in obtaining it).
  • Licensing: A full UK driving licence is essential.
    An active MOT Tester licence is preferred but not required.
  • Equipment: Must possess your own hand tools for daily workshop repair tasks.
  • Mindset: High attention to detail, strong diagnostic fault-finding abilities, and a passion for prestige automotive engineering.
