Job Description
As an NPD Programme Manager
, you will play a pivotal role in bringing Rotork’s new product developments to life. You’ll lead a diverse portfolio of strategic projects, working closely with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders to ensure successful delivery across multiple business units.
This is a high‑visibility position, requiring strong leadership, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to align complex programmes with strategic business objectives.
What You’ll Be Doing- Lead and manage a portfolio of New Product Development (NPD) projects from concept through to delivery
- Drive programme alignment with Rotork’s strategic objectives
- Collaborate with Executive Sponsors and Business Leads to ensure stakeholder engagement and programme success
- Oversee programme resources, timelines, and budgets to deliver projects on time and within scope
- Ensure adherence to stage‑gate processes, quality standards, and governance frameworks
- Proactively manage risks, issues, and change requests to maintain momentum and mitigate challenges
- Foster strong cross‑functional collaboration across engineering, operations, and commercial teams
- Significant experience delivering complex and critical programmes and projects
- Proven leadership of large, multi‑disciplinary project teams
- Experience operating within structured stage‑gate / product development processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage risk, complexity, and ambiguity
- Strong stakeholder management at senior level
- Ability to translate strategic intent into actionable cross‑functional plans
- Experience working with client and internal stakeholders alongside external vendors and consultants
- Ability to work effectively within a global matrix organisation, embrace diversity and inspire influence others to be their best
- A team player that shares knowledge and insights, yet demonstrates strong initiative
- Solid understanding of information processing fundamentals and best practices
- Can effectively communicate technical information to a non‑technical audience when required
- Adapts communication style to contribute and enhance overall team performance
- Proven ability to set and maintain direction and hold self and others accountable to deliver business outcomes on time and within budget
- Ability to communicate clearly and manage change effectively
- Supports and encourages positive working behaviours in others during task fulfilment
