Customer and Trading Manager - Night shift What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading a team overnight to deliver all replenishment activities across the store while prioritising deliveries, organising the warehouse and replenishing shelves.
  • Running full store operation on your own overnight, responsible for the shift and safety and wellbeing of colleagues in store.
  • Ensuring standards are brilliant come morning to prepare for customers.
  • Managing people: performance, capability, disciplinaries, scheduling and pay accuracy.

Full‑time hours over 4 nights plus a £4,500 premium on top of the base salary. Night shifts run from 22:00 to 08:00.

What makes a great night shift manager:
  • Comfortable with night shift work and adaptable to physical and mental demands.
  • Previous line management responsibilities in a fast‑paced operational environment.
  • Resilience to mental and physical demands of night work.
  • Excellent customer service and ability to coach a team to do the same.
  • Experience delivering and monitoring KPI’s or other performance indicators.
  • Skill in managing disciplinaries, performance issues, or other employee relations issues.
  • Capability to lead operations alone in the absence of senior management.
  • Commitment to inclusivity.
  • Track record of delivering customer service and coaching colleagues.
  • Experience leading a team in a fast‑paced, customer‑facing environment.
  • Operational leadership skills – taking responsibility for store operations in the absence of senior managers.
  • Success at meeting or exceeding KPIs – sales, availability, customer satisfaction or colleague engagement.
  • Experience managing employee relations, including performance and absence management.
  • Desirable:
    Night shift experience in a high‑volume, operational environment and ability to create a safe, supportive atmosphere.
