About The Role:

As a Senior Specialist in Stealth and Signatures, you will actively maintain and apply your expertise to support BMT’s planning and operational needs. You’ll provide detailed and specific advice within your specialism, while recognising the boundaries of your own knowledge and collaborating with other experts to ensure recommendations are fully aligned with organisational and client requirements. You’ll define, document and deliver small projects or sub-projects either independently or as part of a small team, participating in all phases of delivery.

Working closely with the Project Manager, you’ll help shape the project approach, identify and manage risks, support the development of practical project plans, track progress against schedules, and manage stakeholder engagement throughout.

About You:

You’re an enthusiastic team player with a strong passion for your area of expertise. You bring demonstrable experience and specialist knowledge in the design, procurement, and support of Stealth Design and Control Systems, along with a solid understanding of MOD business processes relevant to stealth and mission systems engineering. You’re an articulate, informed, and persuasive communicator who exercises diplomacy and discretion when engaging with others—both internally and externally.

You have a sharp analytical mind, able to quickly interpret complex data and use insights to identify options, make sound recommendations, and support robust, defendable decisions.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have:

• A degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Physics, Engineering), or equivalent experience.
• Membership of a relevant professional body and are working towards Chartered status.
• Experience leading Stealth and Signature tasks and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Proven competence in Stealth Design and Control, Signature Measurement and Analysis, or Modelling.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to make sound business decisions across the full lifecycle—from business development to successful delivery.
• Adaptability to changing business needs, conditions, and responsibilities.
