Auctionet is a marketplace where auction houses from Sweden, Great Britain, Finland, Spain, Germany, and Denmark sell furniture, art, design objects, collectibles, and much more. We are now looking for a Marketing Manager UK who wants to be part of our team and help make Auctionet a known, trusted and commercially relevant name in the UK.
About the RoleYou will execute Auctionet’s marketing in the UK end to end and be the local face of our Stockholm-based marketing team. Working closely with UK sales and our Managing Director UK, you will turn the UK go-to-market plan into real activity on the ground. The goal: when we approach an auction house, they already know who we are. And when a house goes live, local buyers are already bidding.
We are looking for a commercially minded marketer who is comfortable being the only marketing person in a market. You’re close enough to sales to carry a pipeline conversation, hands‑on enough to put up a poster and run an event, and structured enough to work through specialists and agencies in another country.
Your responsibilities will include:
Building and running account-based marketing programmes for the UK auction houses, combining event marketing, out-of-home and Linked In campaigns aimed at owners and decision-makers
Planning and delivering UK events, from intimate dinners and valuation days to our annual UK summer event
Building local buyer demand(B2C) around each auction house through out-of-home, local print and geo-targeted Meta and Google campaigns, together with our performance team
Developing local partnerships with interior designers, artists, collectors and creators, and growing them into recurring activations
Adapting Auctionet’s brand, tone of voice and campaigns to the UK market together with our Brand and Content team
Executing the UK marketing budget and KPIs together with the CMO, and reporting on pipeline contribution, local bidder growth and event outcomes
Briefing and managing local suppliers across PR, print and outdoor, event production and photography
Feeding UK market insight, competitor moves and trends back into our plans and value proposition
This role is based in the Bath/Bristol area, with the possibility to work remotely one day a week. Ideally you work four days a week from our Bath office. The role includes extensive travel within the UK and occasional visits to our HQ in Stockholm.
Salary range £40,000- £50,000 a year.
About the TeamYou will be part of Auctionet’s Marketing team, which mainly sits in Stockholm. You report to our CMO and work closely with our Managing Director UK and the UK sales team. Day to day, you’ll collaborate with colleagues in Partner Success and Data & Analytics, as well as with external UK agencies. Auctionet has around 170 employees and is the parent company of a wider group with approximately 400 colleagues across multiple countries.
Our main office is near Stureplan in central Stockholm, with logistics centers in Malmö, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Westbury, and Cologne.
You’re someone who’s self-driven, commercially sharp and happy to roll up your sleeves. You’re comfortable with ambiguity and get energy from building something new with limited local infrastructure. You prioritise based on what moves the business, and you can explain why.
To succeed in this role, we think you have:
Proven B2B marketing experience, ideally account-based marketing in a long-cycle, relationship-driven sale
Experience running events from concept to execution, both small formats and larger public events
Hands-on experience with out-of-home and digital campaigns, including Linked In for B2B, outdoor, print and local media
Strong knowledge of the UK market, including regional differences and the local media landscape
