Job Description
** We’re hiring! Postdoctoral Research Associate – University of Bath
** I’m looking for a talented and motivated postdoctoral researcher with
** strong mammalian cell biology expertise
** to join my research group at the University of Bath. Funded through a new
** BBSRC Pioneer Award**, the project aims to develop innovative intracellular peptide screening technologies to investigate and modulate transcription factor function in living mammalian cells.
** We’re particularly interested in candidates with hands-on experience in:** – Mammalian cell culture and transfection – Molecular cloning and cell-based functional assays – Transcriptional reporters and gene expression analysis – Protein biochemistry or transcription factor biology The successful candidate will work alongside Andrew Brennan, Scott Lovell and me on an ambitious, interdisciplinary project combining
** cell biology, molecular biology and chemical biology**. Experience in peptide chemistry is welcome but not essential. There will be opportunities to develop new expertise in intracellular peptide screening, contribute to high-impact publications, and travel to scientific conferences and research visits.
