Retail Store Manager

The Whisky Shop is seeking a Retail Manager to lead our iconic Bath store. This is an exciting role at the heart of the UK’s leading specialist whisky retailer.

We are looking for a commercially minded manager who can drive sales, build meaningful relationships, and deliver a consistently high standard of in-store experience for our customers.

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Bath store, ensuring a seamless, elevated customer journey at all times
• Drive sales performance, profitability, and KPIs through clear commercial focus and leading by example.
• Continuously manage, develop and inspire a high-performing team, ensuring excellence in customer service, product knowledge, and sales execution
• Deliver a strong customer journey, including welcome, storytelling, upselling, and closing sales
• Drive and grow in-store events, positioning the store as a top destination for whisky lovers, tourists and Loyalty programme Members.
• Oversee high store standards, visual merchandising, and stock management in line with our brand expectations

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a retail or hospitality management role
• Natural salesperson with the ability to engage, upsell, and close across a diverse, high-value clientele
• Credibility and confidence customer facing and hosting whisky tastings and events
• Excellent communication skills across phone and email, with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to business development
• Passion for premium whisky and spirits, with a desire to create exceptional customer experiences
