Colleague Express

Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £13.28 an hour; this increases to £14.55 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week to new colleagues, with flexibility to work fewer hours (minimum of 12) if preferred.

We schedule contracted hours within the availability windows provided by you. You will receive 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. If your availability is close but not exactly matches our advertised times, we still welcome applications.

• Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride.
• Be passionate and knowledgeable about the store’s products and services.
• Work across the store, including service, picking and replenishment areas.
• Apply training to work safely, effectively and provide excellent service.
• Make customer‑right decisions, delivering store routines that meet customers' needs.
• Participate in seasonal, community and charity events, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
• Understand the store’s performance and help drive service, sales, reduce waste, shrink and profit.
• Handle products with care to maintain quality.
• Live Tesco values, make everyone feel welcome and follow policies.
• Accept deliveries into the store when required.
