Starting from £35,578, rising to £40,469 inclusive of 25% in additional allowances (15% shift allowance and 10% market supplement), plus 2 hours of contracted overtime per week.

- Provide welfare and customer service support to students and staff within the Higher Education setting.
- Respond to emergencies, medical first aid situations, alarm activations and other reported incidents, exercising initiative whilst working alone where necessary.
- Work with a team of security staff to ensure a safe environment across the main University campus, City campus, student accommodation and all other University buildings.
- Cover 24/7, 365 days a year on a rotating shift schedule, including night shift working hours.
- Basic working week of 38.5 hours (including 2 hours contracted overtime).
- Shift work that receives a 15% shift allowance, plus a 10% market supplement.
- Uniform, footwear or personal protective equipment supplied and required to be worn.
- Lone working and manual handling responsibilities.
- Required to hold a full UK driving licence for motor cars.
- Excellent communication skills with a diverse international community, providing understanding, support and outstanding customer service.
- Computer skills and ability to use various software packages, including custom university software; training provided when needed.
- Full UK driving licence for motor cars.
- First Aid At Work (FAAW) trained.
- Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence.
- Hold a Basic Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.
