Security Officer (Campus Incident and Emergency Response)

This position is at an international university based in the City of Bath and focuses on welfare and customer service. The role requires teamwork, initiative, and the ability to handle emergencies, medical first aid response, alarm activations and incidents.

As part of a security staff team, you will support:

• Ensure a safe environment across the main campus, City campus, student accommodation and other university buildings.
• Respond to emergencies, medical incidents, and other reported incidents.
• Maintain and report on security incidents and incident logs.
• Support the broader campus community by providing outstanding customer service.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with an international community.
• Computer literacy and ability to use custom university software and general applications.
• Full UK driving licence for motor cars.
• First Aid at Work (FAAW) training; the university will provide training if not already held.
• Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence; training will be provided if not currently held.

The basic working week is 38.5 hours, including 2 hours of contracted overtime. Hours are worked on a rotating shift covering 24/7, 365 days. The role offers a 15% shift allowance and a 10% market supplement.
