Duct Fitters Mate

Position: Duct Fitters Mate (Contract)
The Client and Project Info:
My client is a respected M&E Contractor who are currently recruiting a Duct Fitter’s Mate for a commercial project based in Bath. This role will involve assisting with the installation of ventilation and ductwork systems throughout the development.
Duct Fitter’s Mate Responsibilities:

* Assisting the Duct Fitter with all installation works.

* Supporting with moving, measuring, and preparing ductwork materials.

* Helping install rectangular and spiral ducting under supervision.

* Ensuring work areas are kept clean, tidy, and safe.

* Following instructions from the site supervisor and senior fitters.

* Using hand and power tools safely and correctly.

* Assisting with sealing, fixing, and hanging ductwork.

* Maintaining safe working practices at all times on site.

* Working alongside other trades and supporting the wider site team.
Duct Fitter’s Mate Requirements:

* CSCS card.

* Previous experience as a Duct Mate or in a similar mechanical/site labour role.

* Understanding of basic hand tools and site safety.

* Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

* Experience on commercial projects is desirable but not essential.
