- Manage a diverse caseload of children subject to Child in Need, Child Protection, Public Law Outline (PLO), and care proceedings processes.
- Undertake statutory assessments, conduct thorough risk analyses and formulate evidence-based strategies to safeguard children and effectively reduce risks.
- Take the lead in Child Protection Conferences, Core Group meetings, and multi-agency safeguarding discussions where appropriate.
- Prepare detailed and high-quality reports, court statements, and assessments for legal proceedings and decision-making forums.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
- Evidence of post-qualifying professional development relevant to safeguarding and child protection practice.
- Completion of Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) where applicable.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Experience working within a statutory Children’s Social Care safeguarding team.
- Demonstrable experience managing child protection investigations and complex family interventions.
- Experience preparing court reports, care proceedings documentation, and statutory assessments.
