Permanent / PAYE (or Self-employed – full-time

£18.50 per hour (40 hours per week) plus company van (plus discretionary bonus)

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Multi-Trader with Joinery expertise to join a solid team at a successful & professional company on a full-time PAYE basis (or we can consider a self-employed basis if have own van). Our client is an established contractor working within the insurance claims sector carrying out repairs to private residential properties in the Edinburgh area.

They are looking to recruit a multi-trade operative who will be carrying out a variety of residential property repair works including carpentry, plaster boarding/patch plaster repairs, tiling, kitchen/bathroom fitting, flooring, decorating. You do not need to be an expert in all the above to apply, but we do need someone who is experienced in joinery and able to do the following: kitchen installation (including mason mitre joints), floor fitting and door hanging etc.

If you have an NVQ / City & Guilds (or similar) or have completed an Apprenticeship this is ideal, but it is not essential - time served will also be considered.

UK driving licence is required and own tools. For the PAYE employed role you will be provided with a company van – if you would prefer to be self-employed you will need your own van.

What you will need:

* Multi-trade or specialist trade experience working on residential property repairs

* Joinery experience (kitchen installation/worktop fitting/door hanging etc.)

* Experience being able to work from a schedule of rates.

* Ability to carry out works to a very high standard and within timescales.

* Confidence to work alone or as part of a team.

* To be able to work safely and adhere to health and safety at work.

* A full UK driving licence is essential.

* As you will be liaising with clients/homeowners you will need good communication skills, be well presented and confident with good communication skills.
