Position summary: Monday – Thursday 09.00 – 17.00, Friday 09.00 – 16.30
Catalent Pharma Solutions is seeking a driven, forward‑thinking Senior Accountant to join the Finance team at our Bathgate Clinical Supply Services site. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part‑qualified accountant who thrives in a fast‑paced, multinational environment—ideally with exposure to US‑headquartered organisations—and enjoys tackling challenges with a solutions‑focused mindset.
The Role- Prepare, analyse, and review all transactions impacting the Site P&L, including month‑end accruals and prepayments
- Complete Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Manage manufacturing accounting, including Work‑In‑Progress (WIP) and costing
- Produce management reporting and budget comparisons, including sales analysis, departmental base cost, and headcount reporting
- Oversee and report on Accounts Payable
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual corporate reporting packages in line with US headquarters requirements
- Partner with the SSC on AP preparation
- Support internal and external audit activities
- Report on functional spend and departmental expenditure
- Provide cover for team members during peak periods or holidays (e.g., cost rolls)
- Contribute to ad hoc projects as needed
- Part‑qualified or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent), or qualified by experience
- Experience in costing and management accounting, ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, or pharmaceutical environments
- Strong understanding of UK VAT legislation
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (e.g., JDE) is an advantage
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
