Overview
Our Bathgate location in Scotland, UK is an integral part of Catalent’s European clinical supply services network. This facility has a comprehensive range of capabilities to support sponsors’ studies throughout the UK, Europe and beyond, including clinical supply management, Fast Chain® demand-led supply, clinical-scale commercial packaging, and QP release services. Catalent’s Bathgate facility is seeking Senior Supplier Quality Specialist to join the team.
In this role, you will execute core supplier quality processes that ensure operational stability, compliance, and continuous improvement across global CSS programs. You will support both existing operations and the onboarding of new services, ensuring all suppliers meet Catalent’s expectations for quality, regulatory adherence, and reliability.
- Manage and maintain the approved supplier list for Global Comparator, Depot, and network site programs.
- Plan, conduct, review, and report supplier audits (both site and questionnaire‑based) for domestic and international partners, ensuring full compliance with network procedures.
- Drive timely completion of corrective actions related to audit observations, ensuring all issues are effectively resolved.
- Support the creation and maintenance of Supplier Quality Agreements, audit documentation, risk assessments, risk control plans, licence reviews, change controls, and follow‑up activities.
- Ensure all supplier records and approval documentation remain accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Evaluate and process new supplier requests and oversee licence renewals for applicable services.
- Assess supplier change notifications, determine potential impacts to internal processes and client commitments, and implement appropriate action plans.
- Provide clear, accurate input for external audit queries and actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the Global CSS network.
- Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or engineering field (or equivalent experience), with strong knowledge of GMP/GDP/GCP and experience in pharmaceutical quality.
- Supplier auditing experience is essential, including writing audit reports; certified auditor or lead auditor qualification required.
- Strong project management, critical thinking, process‑improvement mindset, and the ability to work independently while leading cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and make quality‑related decisions across multiple levels.
- Experience with JDE, Track Wise, and familiarity with comparator sourcing, wholesaler licensing, and third‑party storage/distribution preferred.
- Ability to travel 25%, live within commutable distance of an international airport, and work on‑site in Bathgate (Scotland) or Shorndorf (Germany).
