Join Converge UK – Drive, Develop & Make a Difference
Looking for a job where no two days are the same?
At Converge UK, we're looking for a hands-on Operations Operative / Collections Driver to join our growing IT Recycling team in Bathgate.
This is much more than a warehouse role. You'll spend your time out on the road collecting IT equipment, working with customers, operating within our warehouse and learning new skills across IT recycling, refurbishment and logistics.
You'll be joining a global award-winning technology company where the work you do has a genuine environmental impact – helping businesses securely recycle, reuse and repurpose their IT equipment rather than sending it to waste.
What makes this role different?Variety. Responsibility. Development.
You'll have the opportunity to build experience across:
Driving & Collections – represent Converge UK with customers and complete professional multi-drop collections.
Warehouse & Logistics – load and unload vehicles, palletise equipment, process incoming assets and prepare orders for dispatch.
IT & Refurbishment – learn about IT hardware, asset processing, data wiping, testing, refurbishment and basic repairs.
Sustainability – play a hands-on role in giving technology a second life and reducing electronic waste.
Development – we'll support you to become multi-skilled across our operations and develop your knowledge and experience.
What will you be doing?Collections & Customer Service
- Carry out safe, professional and efficient multi-drop IT equipment collections.
- Load and unload vehicles safely, including potentially heavy or bulky equipment.
- Palletise and secure collections ready for transportation.
- Complete collection and delivery documentation accurately.
- Provide a professional and friendly service to customers.
- Represent Converge UK positively while out on the road.
- Receive, check, count and weigh incoming IT equipment and materials.
- Record asset information accurately using our computer systems.
- Pick and pack equipment for shipment.
- Support the processing, refurbishment and preparation of IT equipment.
- Carry out data wiping in line with our procedures.
- Dismantle IT equipment for recycling or reuse.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised and safe.
- Follow health & safety, environmental and company procedures.
- Work to required quality and testing standards.
- Support Lean working practices and continuous improvement.
- Take pride in maintaining high standards across the operation.
We're looking for someone who is reliable, practical and willing to get stuck in.
You don't necessarily need previous IT recycling experience. What's more important is your attitude, work ethic and willingness to learn.
You could be a great fit if you:
- Enjoy a physical, hands-on role.
- Are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- Have a positive attitude and take pride in your work.
- Are reliable and organised.
- Have good attention to detail.
- Are comfortable using basic computer systems.
- Enjoy working in a role with variety rather than doing the same task every day.
- Are confident dealing with customers professionally.
- Have a willingness to learn new skills and develop within the business.
- Hold a full UK driving licence
.
Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, collections/delivery driving, IT hardware, recycling, engineering or a similar environment would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
What do you get in return? We want people to build a career with Converge – not just take a job.
You'll get:
- A varied role combining driving, customer interaction, warehouse…
