Terry Fox Elementary Educational Assistant

Support teachers and exceptional students as an Educational Assistant at Terry Fox Elementary starting in the  school year. Focus on meeting student needs and enhancing their learning experiences.

This permanent position consists of 6 hours a day, 30 hours a week, aimed at fostering student development. You'll work alongside teachers, assisting in instruction, supervision, and providing personal care for students.

Your role is pivotal in supporting individual learning plans and maintaining a nurturing classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with delivering educational content to students

• Provide oversight and support during class activities

• Prepare and organize teaching materials as necessary

• Tutor students on various subjects and skills

• Track and report student information and progress

Requirements:

• Must possess a high school diploma and relevant training

• Experience with children, preferably with special needs

• Strong English language skills, written and spoken

• Teamwork skills and dedication to student welfare

• Adaptability to assist with personal care when required
