Job Summary  As a Makerspace Lead, you will be responsible for supervising STEAM Lead Educator, STEAM Educators, coordinating and promoting activities and programming in Bathurst,NB. You will also be involved in supporting the planning and delivery ofhigh‑quality learning experiences at the makerspace and out in the community. Being part of the Delivery Team is being the public face of Ampere and an ambassador of the work we do.
Responsibilities   Work alongside the rest of the team to run a well‑organized, busy, fun and exciting STEAM learning space where both learners and educators feel welcome, respected, and inspired.
Work with STEAM Lead Educator and STEAM Educators to support development and delivery of engaging, fun, age‑appropriate, STEAM and digital skills learning experiences with real‑world applications for learners of all ages and abilities.
Coordinate the planning and delivery of in‑person, blended, and virtual STEAM‑based and essential digital literacy skills learning experiences for - learners of all ages.
Supervise STEAM Lead Educator and STEAM Educators in the Bathurst Makerspace, providing mentorship, training and programming support.
Maintain current knowledge of trends, initiatives and best practices of Makerspaces. Assess trends, initiatives and best practices and support their integration in the Ampere’s programs as appropriate.
Work with New Brunswick Program Manager to schedule programming in the Bathurst Makerspace and, as needed, at partner locations in the community and beyond.
Procure equipment, materials and supplies needed for programming.
Establish and maintain Bathurst Makerspace systems to ensure space and equipment, are well‑organized, in good working order, and ready for program delivery at all times.
