Principal Process Engineer Lead

As a Principal Process Engineer Lead, you will play a critical role in designing and scaling advanced manufacturing systems for ABB’s next‑generation EV charging platforms.

In this role your main responsibilities will be:

• Design the Line: Define stations, flow, cycle times, and automation strategy for high‑power modules and full‑system assembly.
• Leverage Digital Twin: Use simulation and digital twin tools to model production flow, validate automation concepts, and de‑risk bring‑up before hardware arrives.
• Integrate Automation: Specify robotics, fixtures, torque/vision tools, leak & hipot tests, and in‑line quality checks.
• Engineer for Quality: Lead PFMEA, control plans, DOE, SPC, and GR&R for robust processes. Develop work instructions and standard work.
• Enable Traceability: Deploy MES and data systems for full traceability and real‑time visibility of yield and performance.

  Partner with suppliers and integrators for FAT/SAT, validate run‑at‑rate, and ensure smooth production hand‑off.
• Continuously Improve: Apply lean and Six Sigma to increase throughput, quality, and flexibility.

To make the above work, we need someone who:

• Has Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Has 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering for automotive, EV, power electronics, or complex electro‑mechanical systems.
• Demonstrates proven success designing or scaling automated lines

• Possesses strong expertise in PFMEA, SPC, DOE, and yield improvement
  .
• Brings hands‑on experience with automation, fixtures, test systems, and HV safety practices
  .
• Bonus skills: Familiarity with digital twin/line simulation, virtual commissioning, SiC power electronics, liquid cooling assemblies reserves , Rockwell/Beckhoff, or collaborative robots (cobotsতুন).
