EMS Practitioners work in dynamic and high‑pressure environments, responding to emergency calls, assessing patients’ conditions, and delivering necessary medical interventions.

• Emergency Response:
  Responding promptly to emergency calls for medical assistance, either as part of an ambulance crew or in a pre‑hospital setting. EMS Practitioners assess the scene, prioritize patient care, and implement appropriate medical interventions based on the presenting symptoms or injuries.
• Patient Assessment:
  Conducting rapid and comprehensive patient assessments, including evaluating vital signs, conducting physical examinations, and gathering patient history. EMS Practitioners must make critical decisions regarding treatment priorities and triage based on the severity of the patient’s condition.
• Medical Interventions:
  Providing advanced medical interventions as required, including administering medications, initiating intravenous (IV) access, managing airways, splinting fractures, controlling hemorrhages, and performing CPR. EMS Practitioners must be proficient in various life‑saving techniques and emergency procedures.

• Incident Scene Management:

• Successful completion of an approved EMS education program, such as Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), EMT‑Basic, EMT‑Advanced, or Paramedic.
• Certification and/or licensure based on the requirements of the state, province, or country of practice.
• Strong knowledge of emergency medical procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
