Rotating days and nights, weekends, and statutory holidays. Subject to change due to operational requirements.

Language Requirement :
Written and spoken competency in one of the two official languages (English or French) is required and spoken competency in the other official language is required.

Ambulance New Brunswick is the provincial ambulance service provider. Our paramedics respond to approximately 130,000 calls per year, transport patients to hospital by ambulance, and provide medical support on scene and en route. They are skilled in emergency techniques and trained in various medical treatments.

Applicants who are new graduates from a post‑secondary program in paramedicine or have working experience outside New Brunswick will go through a standardized selection process. Candidates must demonstrate eligibility to work in Canada, teamwork, confidentiality, and patient safety.

Required Qualifications

You are entitled to work in Canada (Canadian citizenship, permanent resident status or work permit)

Must demonstrate the ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and be able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record

Must have a high regard for confidentiality and patient safety

Advanced Care Paramedic program/course of over six months; if you do not have one and are interested, here is a list of paramedic programs in Atlantic Canada,

Must be registered, active Advanced Care Paramedic with the Paramedic Association of New Brunswick; if you are not currently registered in New Brunswick, please visit PANB at

Must have a valid New Brunswick Class 4 Driver's Licence (or equivalent)

Must be willing to participate and contribute to future pilot projects, related research initiatives and focus groups

Must be willing to participate in community Paramedicine duties
