About the role:
Justteachers are working with a Batley secondary school to appoint an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of History to join its dedicated Humanities faculty. This is a full-time role to start in September 2026 until the end of the academic year.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving department that plays a vital role in shaping students’ understanding of religion, ethics, and philosophy in a diverse and multicultural context.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver a broad and balanced History curriculum aligned with national standards and school values
- Teach to KS4
- Inspire students through creative and inclusive teaching strategies
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress effectively
- Contribute to departmental planning, moderation, and resource development
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Strong academic background in History or a related discipline
- Proven ability to teach History across a range of abilities and age groups
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice
- Two school-based references
