Chesterfield About the Role Our education recruitment agency is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Lecturer in Public Services to join a college or education provider and deliver NCFE Level 3 Public Services programmes. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator with a strong understanding of the public services sector to inspire and prepare learners for careers within areas such as the Police, Armed Forces, Fire Service, Prison Service, Emergency Services and wider public sector .

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality teaching that supports learners in developing the knowledge, skills and professional behaviours required for progression into employment, higher education or public service careers.

Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the NCFE Level 3 Public Services curriculum. Prepare teaching materials, activities and assessments in line with programme requirements. Support learners to achieve their qualifications and reach their full potential. Assess and provide constructive feedback on learner work. Monitor learner progress, attendance and engagement. Maintain accurate records relating to assessment and learner achievement. Support learners with personal, academic and professional development.

Incorporate relevant current affairs, public service issues and real-world examples into teaching. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a high-quality learner experience. Contribute to enrichment activities, trips, guest speakers and wider public services events where appropriate. Maintain professional standards and comply with safeguarding, equality and health and safety requirements. About You We are looking for a motivated and committed lecturer who has:
Relevant experience within Public Services or a closely related subject area. Experience delivering Level 3 qualifications , ideally NCFE or similar vocational programmes. A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, DET or equivalent. A relevant degree or professional qualification. Strong knowledge of the public services sector. Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills. A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping learners achieve their goals.

The ability to create an inclusive, engaging and supportive learning environment. Public service experience , such as within the Police, Armed Forces, Fire and Rescue Service, Prison Service or Emergency Services, would be highly desirable.
