Position: Senior Estimator (Civils)

Where will you be working?

We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.

This role will be within our Water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?

You’ll provide essential estimating support for bids and contracts, ensuring robust pricing, risk management, and governance. You’ll advise senior management on commercial risks, liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to deliver accurate estimates, and assess terms against client requirements.

Prioritising your workload to meet business needs, you’ll communicate with customers and operational colleagues daily. You’ll identify and implement process improvements, as well as travel to sites to determine scopes of work when required.

What you’ll bring
  • - Have you gained estimating experience in the water industry or hold a relevant degree? Other utilities experience is a bonus.
  • - Are you commercially sharp, familiar with NEC contracts, and able to manage workloads under pressure?
  • - Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • - Skilled at spotting opportunities and leading positive change.
  • - Proficient with MS Office and estimating software such as Conquest or Causeway.
