Location: Mars Care & Treats, Oakwell Way, Birstall, WF17 9LU

Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (working hours to be confirmed)

Pay: £12.80 per hour

Sodexo is seeking a committed and detail-oriented Industrial Cleaner to join our team at Mars Care & Treats in Birstall.

This role is responsible for delivering high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across production and associated areas, ensuring compliance with company standards and health and safety legislation. You will support the safe and efficient operation of the site by maintaining a clean, hygienic, and well-presented environment at all times.

• Carry out cleaning duties across production, office, and service areas including floors, fittings, glass, and equipment
• Complete all daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning tasks in line with schedules, minimising disruption to production
• Maintain high standards of hygiene in line with site and food production requirements
• Use cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals safely and effectively
• Ensure all cleaning equipment is kept clean, well maintained, and in safe working order
• Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as required
• Report maintenance faults, defects, or safety concerns to the Supervisor or Cleaning Manager
• Follow all site rules, security procedures, and correct processes for lost property
• Respond to ad hoc and emergency cleaning requests as directed
• Maintain accurate standards of personal hygiene and presentation at all times
• Attend training as required to remain compliant with company policies and legislation

• Adhere to all company and client health and safety procedures at all times
• Complete mandatory site induction and training before entering production areas
• Correctly use all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided
• Promote safe working practices and report any hazards immediately

• Previous experience in industrial or production cleaning is desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of hygiene standards and safe working practices
• Ability to follow procedures and work to strict standards
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication skills and a professional approach
• Flexible and willing to undertake a range of cleaning duties
