Location:

Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. Salary: £45,427.20 per annum. Working days:
Monday – Friday, with a 1:30 pm finish every Friday.

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and pipework across the site. Working in high‑hazard areas, your role is key to maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.

• Mechanical fitting and installation of plant equipment
• Installation, modification and repair of process pipework
• Working on pumps, valves, vessels and associated mechanical systems
• Reading and working from engineering drawings, isometrics and P&IDs
• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
• Supporting shutdowns and improvement projects
• Working in line with strict health, safety and permit‑to‑work procedures

• Time‑served Mechanical Fitter or completed apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven pipe fitting experience within industrial or process environments.
• Experience working in chemical, water treatment or high‑hazard manufacturing sites.
• Ability to work safely, independently and to a high standard.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
