Job Summary

• Operate in a fast‑paced retail environment, staying alert, responsive and ready to step in when needed.
• Customer service is at the heart of the role. Create a welcoming store environment, greeting customers and delivering professional support to both customers and colleagues.
• Help keep our stores safe and secure. From preventing loss and responding to incidents to identifying risks and supporting safe ways of working, play a key role in protecting the M&S environment.
• Use store technology, including mobile reporting systems and body‑worn cameras, to support store operations and incident management.
• Stay calm under pressure. Whether responding to challenging situations or supporting emergency procedures, act professionally and confidently.
• Work closely with store colleagues to maintain high standards, support operations and create a positive environment for everyone.
• Adapt quickly to changing situations to support the store when needed.

• Previous security experience is preferred.
• A valid SIA licence is desirable, although not essential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A calm, confident and professional approach.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to make sound decisions quickly.
• A genuine passion for customer service and keeping people safe.

• All candidates must provide a 5-year checkable work history within the UK.
