Description:

Lofton staffing is seeking a detail-oriented, reliable Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations for local roofing company.
This role ensures accurate financial tracking, supports project profitability, and helps maintain smooth business operations. The ideal candidate has bookkeeping experience-preferably in construction, contracting, or trades-and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, field-service environment.

• Maintain accurate financial records using Quick Books
• Handle daily data entry: invoices, bills, receipts, payments, job costing entries
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor accounts monthly
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable; follow up on outstanding payments
• Process payroll for office staff and contractors
• Generate and send customer invoices, including progress and final invoices.
• Generate monthly financial statements: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Prepare documents for year-end tax filings; coordinate with CPA.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements.

-5:00 PM

$40,000 annual, depending on experience

Requirements:

• 2+ years of bookkeeping experience (construction or trades industry preferred).
• Proficient in Quick Books Desktop/Online or similar software.
• Strong understanding of job costing, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll.
• Ability to interpret financial reports and provide clear insights.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working with field crews, vendors, and customers.
• Familiarity with roofing materials, suppliers, and terminology is a plus (but can be learned).
