Five years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 hours, which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience. Job Duties:
- Serves as liaison by corresponding with other Executives such as Undersecretary and Assistant Secretaries.
- Performs duties independently and exercises a high degree of independent judgment in determining the most feasible approach/action to take in completing assignments.
- Composes and types of administrative memorandums, letters, and other correspondence regrading programs and policy and procedures.
- Receives, greets and screens all incoming phone calls and visitors.
- Schedules and coordinates meeting and conference calls while maintaining electronic calendar.
- Prepares and assists with the development of meeting materials such as briefings, presentations, spreadsheets, agenda and handouts.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as required and assigned for the smooth operation of the office.
Appointment Type: This position may be filled as a probational appointment or a job appointment that may last up to 48 months. Job appointments may convert to probational appointments. Also, it may be filled as a detail and promoted within 12 months or by promotion of a permanent classified employee.
Work Schedule: Typically, work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Flexible work schedules are available after meeting certain criteria and is dependent upon the position you are applying for. Some positions require working shifts.
