Junior Construction Estimator – Division 12 Window Treatments

Compensation: Starting at $40,000 annually, with a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.

Decorator Depot USA (rebranding to Cover Point Commercial Shading Solutions in December, 2025) is a rapidly growing commercial subcontractor specializing exclusively in Division 12 window treatments—blinds and shades for commercial construction projects. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Estimator to join our team in Baton Rouge.

The Estimator will play a critical role in our preconstruction process, generating accurate and timely bid packages, maintaining bid schedules, and building strong relationships with general contractors. They will provide analysis of blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects. This is an in-office role for candidates residing in the Baton Rouge area.

• Prepare accurate, detailed bid proposals and manage updates throughout the bidding process.
• Communicate with general contractors and project stakeholders to clarify requirements and support successful submissions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with general contractor estimation teams, vendors, and design professionals.
• Review drawings, perform take-offs, and ensure proposals align with project specifications.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver cost-effective, high-quality shading solutions.

• 2 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• No prior experience required with specific estimating or project management software—we’ll train the right candidate.
