Hourly Rate: $15-$20/hour (based on experience and assignment)

Helix Community Schools is a forward-thinking, student-centered network of public charter schools offering a unique K-14 model that extends educational access from kindergarten through two years of college-level coursework. We are currently seeking dedicated, flexible, and dependable Substitute Teachers to join our Helix team. Substitutes will support classroom instruction in the absence of the regular teacher and may be placed on daily or long-term assignments across multiple school sites.

Note: In some cases, substitutes may be asked to report daily to assist with consistent student supervision and support.

• Provide instructional support in the classroom following lesson plans left by the regular teacher
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and engaging learning environment
• Take attendance and document student participation or concerns as needed
• Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and grade levels (K-12)
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and administrators
• Uphold Helix Community Schools  values of inclusivity, respect, and high expectations
• Ensure continuity of learning and student engagement during teacher absences

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Prior experience working with students in an educational setting preferred
• Ability to follow lesson plans and classroom routines
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Willingness to travel to multiple campuses if needed
• Flexible, reliable, and punctual
