We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate 2nd Grade Teacher to join our team and help shape the future of our young learners.

Position Overview: The 2nd Grade Teacher will be responsible for creating and implementing engaging and effective lessons for our second-grade students. This individual will provide a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere that promotes both academic growth and social-emotional development. The teacher will work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure each child's success and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity, respect, and collaboration.
• Assess and track student progress through regular evaluations, assignments, and observations.
• Provide individualized support for students who need additional assistance.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance student learning and school initiatives.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes learning and creativity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field (required).
• Valid teaching certification (specific to LA preferred).
• Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with young children, preferably in a classroom setting.
• Passionate about working with diverse groups of students and promoting their academic, social, and emotional development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Education (preferred).
• Experience teaching 2nd grade or similar age group.
• Knowledge of current teaching technologies and classroom management strategies.
